You must make a financial donation in order to schedule a pick-up. Contribute whatever amount you would like. All proceeds (after truck expenses) will be donated to New York Cares.
2) Wait for an email confirming your pick up time
We will assign you a truck captain and a three hour window between 10AM and 5PM on Saturday February 6th during which we will stop near your apartment. Look for an email with this timing as we get closer to the big day.
3) Pack up your clothes
Put the clothes, shoes and accessories that you would like to donate in a sturdy box or garbage bag. Please only include undamaged items and make sure that items that come in pairs are kept together (shoes can be tied together by the laces, gloves
and socks can be stuffed inside each other, etc).
4) Be ready on February 6th!
We will coordinate with you on-the-fly the day of the clothing drive to give you a more specific idea of when we will be at your place. We will send you a text message when we are getting close and again when we arrive. When we show up, please come out and help load your clothes into the truck.
